Brian LaCroix, NRP (Ret), BS, CPPS, FACPE

Founding Colleague

Brian LaCroix is a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer of Cambridge Consulting Group. Ater more than two decades, LaCroix retired in 2019 as President and EMS Chief of Allina Health Emergency Medical Services, St. Paul, Minnesota. In that role he had more than 900 employees in his span of control and was responsible for Minnesota’s largest EMS operation serving one million residents with 9-1-1 service in more than 120 communities. LaCroix has had proven success in building and leading high-performance teams for more than three decades.

Brian is a Past President of the National EMS Management Association and liaison to the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada. Past-Vice Chair of the MN EMS Regulatory Board, and Hennepin County (Minneapolis) EMS Council. Other professional affiliations include his role as Chair of the Century College EMS Advisory Board and member of the Regina Hospital Foundation in Hastings, MN. He has also served as the EMS Coordinator at The Center for Patient in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brian is the recipient of numerous professional awards including the Century College (MN) Alumni of the Year. In 2015 LaCroix was presented with the Pinnacle EMS Leadership Award, which recognizes an individual on a national level, who has made outstanding contributions to the EMS profession through their role as a leader. While under his leadership, in 2017 Allina Health EMS was named National EMS Awards of Excellence Career Service of the Year.

LaCroix has written numerous articles and contributed to research published in professional trade journals and magazines. He has presented at innumerable conferences and meetings both nationally and internationally and remains a sought-after speaker on a wide range of topics surrounding paramedicine and leadership.

During his career LaCroix has worked as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, paramedic, educator, author, peer counselor, manager and executive officer. LaCroix is a Fellow in the American College of Paramedic Executives, holds both a paramedic degree and a degree in business administration. He has worked on international EMS projects in Nicaragua, France, Croatia and Saudi Arabia. Brian is a native English speaker proficient in French, who enjoys both mentoring and learning from his six grandkids. He is also an accomplished artist and painter.
